What is MACA?

MACA is an amazing PLANT cultivated in the Andean Mountains in Peru. It is a FOOD, packed full of vitamins (B, C, E), minerals (Potassiu, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, and others), amino acids (18), and fatty acids. Legend has it that Incan warriors would consume maca before entering into battle. This would make them fiercely strong!

What are the health benefits of Maca?

MACA is a POWERFUL adaptogen, which means it has the ability to balance and stabilize the body's systems. Adaptogens also boost immunity and harmonize the body's overall vitality. Other benefits MACA may have are:

How can you eat MACA? (If you're NOT taking Maca in capsule-format)

1.) Choca-MACA: 1/2 c. raw cacao beans, 3 c. pure water, 2 Tbl MACA, 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt, 2 Tbl agave nectar. Blend 30 seconds till well blended. Strain through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.

2.) Cosmic Rejuvenation Drink: 1 c. fresh aloe gel, 2 c. pure water, 1 Tbl MACA, 1 Tbl agave nectar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, pinch of himalayan salt. Blend.

3.) Coco-MACA: 1 young coconut (water and pulp), 1 Tbl almond butter, 1 Tbl macadamia nut butter, 1 Tbl MACA, 1 fresh raw vanilla bean, 2 Tbl agave nectar, pinch of himalayan salt. Blend on high till smooth. To make extra silky, strain through a mesh strainer.

4.) Instant Green Protein Drink: 2 c. pure water, 2 stalks celery (chopped), 1 med. leaf kale (chopped), 1 handful parsley, 2 Tbl MACA, 1 Tbl spirulina or Nature's First Food, 1/2 tsp himlayan salt. Blend thoroughly 10 seconds. Strain through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.

5.) Simple Garden Dressing: 1 c. pure water, 1/2 tsp himalayan salt, small handful of each of these - cilantro, pasrsley, kale, 1 Tbl MACA, 1/2 c. chopped carrot. Blend well. Strain. Add stock back to blender and blend in t Tbl MACA, 1 Tbl almond butter, and 1 Tbl olive oil.

6.) Easy Herb Dip: 1/2 c. soaked pumpkin seeds, 1/2 c. soaked almonds, 2/3-1 c. pure water, 1/2 tsp himalayan salt, 1 inch piece fresh turmeric (or 1/2 tsp dried), 1/2 tsp fresh rosemary, 1/2 tsp cayenne powder, 1 Tbl MACA. Blend till smooth in a vitamix blender. You may also process in a food processor all ingredients except the water, adding a little water until the desired consistency is obtained.
