I admire you for your mature, professional demeanor. What an even greater leader you've grown into being...in the few years I've had an honor to work with you. And your having given John "space" while he was venting was probably why he shifted & started figuring out how your best, permanent solution could happen. You're goodgoodgood, Michelle. "Just heard something nice about you --- Alice was saying that Dr. Montgomery really wanted you to go to this 'invitation only' thing this week about the Deputyship, but that you were too busy. Cool. Her continuous quality improvements within the Volunteer Mailroom have made her program a frequently visited model for the Austin Independent School District. Also, her state-wide and agency-wide leadership and service have increased: through her election as president of StatePride and through her leadership role of the Quality Service Project's Employee Roundtable." "Congratulations, Michelle, for your well-deserved certificate from Rosedale School as Work Site Supervisor of the Year." "Nice, Michelle. I will miss my quotes when I'm on VACATION!!!" "For some of us life is already the greatest thing we can imagine and some of us need reminding. These reflections, you are showing us, seem to be laying the foundation for the feel good environment we lone for in the work place. I don't know how long we can keep these in a small test pilot arena. The messages do have an impact. I agree with Mr. Ringer in prompting senior management to send in one or two, so as they can help motivate us in their own words. I will make the next QSP (Quality Service Project) meeting and make a motion regarding this issue if it is OK with you. Thank you for sending the quotes Michelle. They make my day, too." "I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for sending these quotes each day. I get a ton of email (as you know), both for Ben and me. Ordinarily I try everything to minimize that volume. Your daily messages, however, are clearly marked and I know that they're there for me to review when I have a chance. Your selections have been great -- and now I look for them during my day. I recall many of them regularly- they've really added to the quality of my days without taking me away from tasks at hand. Thank you for this gift." "Thanks for all your assistance and support. You are a perfect example of how Pathways is supposed to work, that is, employee driven!" "Thank you for joining the effort to support and enrich student learning and success in AISD. I really appreciate her choice of quotes which are unlike any other quotes for the day that I've seen from other people with 'shallow' attempts at quality topics which people use to impress others. Michelle's have true meaning and touch you in that special way...they usually come to mind more than once after you receive them. Thanks again for sharing with me." "Thanks, Michelle, for making this partnership 'pay off' for Rosedale, for TDH, & for all of us who benefit directly & indirectly from getting to work with people who believe in 'Quadrant II.'" "Thank you for having served so conscientiously and tirelessly on the Commissioner's Communication Task Force (maps and signs team) to improve and create even better signs and maps for our Texas Department of Health (TDH) customers. I am proud of your most recent product: the packet of materials that include maps of TDH/Austin sites and narratives explaining the easiest ways to find sites and offices in our office complex. I am confident that our visitors will have a more pleasant experience because of your helpful materials. Your excellent work exemplifies the words of Mohandas Gandhi [modified for TDH use]: A visitor is a most important person on our premises. He is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him. He is not an interruption of our work, he is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider to our business, he is part of it. We are not doing him a favor by serving him, he is doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so." "Thanks for watching out for us! Kudos to you for paying such close attention on our behalf!" "I think it is a great idea. The QSP (Quality Service Project) is working on a project like this. "Outstanding! Thank you. I made a copy. Lots of the same questions & statements come out in our training. Now I have a list with even more to bring up in case it is one of those times when many try to keep quiet. Stuff that makes us feel uncomfortable is hard to talk about. It helps to hear those type of questions. Thank you again." "Thanks for sending the notes from your class this weekend. It sounds like it was a powerful and charged discussion. I truly admire you for all of the steps you are taking to create peace with yourself and within your life." I've forwarded your narrative to the Spanish-language translator." "Thank you for your dedication Friday, March 19th as part of a 40-person Texas Department of health (TDH) employee/volunteer team to complete an urgent project on behalf of the Governor. I am grateful and in awe that within four hours you were able to get letters printed, folded, stuffed, stamped, and mailed to 3,000 people inviting them to the Governor's "Right Choices Conference" on March 31, 1999. I deeply appreciate your willingness to work together so creatively, cheerfully, effectively, and efficiently. As a token of my appreciation, I am enclosing the narrative entitled "A Spirit of Teamwork and the Flight of the Great Northern Geese." Please keep this narrative as a reminder of my gratitude for the results of your Friday afternoon teamwork. I am honored to be part of our TDH community/family." "I'll admit it: I didn't think it could be done (last Friday's mailing). Thanks, y'all, from me too. Please pass along a huge 'THANKS' to others you konw who helped last Friday. This is an important part of our breastfeedig promotion efforts. Almost all of the WIC Local Agencies use these materials in promoting breastfeeding in their clinics and communities each August. We have requests to reproduce these materials from other state WIC agencies. International breastfeeding organizations such as ILCA and WABA look to see what we are doing each year, because you guys do such a tremendous job in helping to create and develop these materials and just as importantly, getting them out to the clinics in time. Also, Michelle, top winner for individual recruitment: Michelle persuaded 5 of her friends to spend the morning with area kids, and I don't know who had more fun, the adults or the kids. THANKS!" "I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your volunteers for the wonderful job which you did for me with the mailing which I had recently. You showed exceptional willingness to complete the job to my specifications, you made suggestions about ways in which the job could proceed more smoothly, and you executed the job as promised and ahead of the schedule which I anticipated. I was thoroughly pleased with the work of the Volunteer Mailroom and will not hesitate to suggest that others use this service whenever possible. Thank you very much. Y'all are the greatest!" "Thanks, Michelle, for your good ideas and thoughtful remarks about our heightening the awareness of TDH staff and programs to the hats the TVHC wears." "Michelle, Your Top Ten lists-sending "caught" Candy Cates' eye. She's now a subscriber, too. Thanks for sharing all your great information & sources." "Thanks for your thorough & inspirational VMR report for December. Y'all are GRRRREAT!" "Thanks, Michelle, for having served as our scribe today." "Look at Michelle's great, paid-job connections for her volunteers! Terrific, Michelle. You're a wonder-worker." "That's fabulous! Good work, Michelle." "Thank you for giving our consumers volunteer opportunities over this past year. They have benefited from this experience immensely. We are looking forward to continuing work at the Health Department in 1998. Thanks again." "I forgot to thank you for all the leads you gave me on folks who might have give-aways---Missy Hammer was able to give me LOTS of breastfeeding note pads." "1997 has been a year of growth and wonderment for the Volunteer Center, a Service of the United Way/Capital Area. We want to thank you for your support." "Many thanks, Michelle, for having housed the kiosk & for having made all the arrangements for its new location." "You did a fantastic job! It looks great!" "Michelle, thank you for bringing the team bread for the reception for the Austin Area Quilt Guild's reception. I particularly like the blueberry. I appreciate you and your continuing interest to recognize and show appreciation to volunteers -- as well as support of other projects in which I am involved." "Thanks for all the many ways you helped make the Volunteer Recognition Reception and the reception for the quilters huge & delicious successes! Thanks for the goodies, the lovely linen bag, the way your organized student art, buttons, free drinks, etc. I really appreciate all you do." "That's fabulous. Great work. THANKS." "Michelle, I am PROUD to represent you & your good work. You always inspired me. Tom & I had a Michelle Reeves Fan Club Meeting on our walk back to the Moreton Bldg. this morning." "I felt very comfortable with preparing our bulk mail. We had 1200 pieces and we finished the processing in about 3 hours!" (bulk-rate mail training) "Good plans. I can't attend, but you've done a magnificent job juggling schedules & keeping us well informed about when to to watch which videotapes. THANK YOU for the handouts for the videotape we may use/refer to during "SB!" You're spoiling me, & I love it." "Thanks. You must be the world's best scrounger/donee!!!" "Hey, Lynn, I wish we'd had Michelle Reeves & the VMR when we were doing Shots Across Texas notebooks!!" "Congrats to Michelle. HOPE YOU WIN!" "Michelle, Many thanks for having taken over as volunteer-management Video Queen when our original Video Queen Kristin had to hit the VISTA road." "If you have time, I hope you'll get a chance to visit with Michelle Reeves in our Volunteer Mailroom (on the north part of our campus). I think you'll be amazed at the wonderful accomplishments by Michelle & her team of staff & volunteers." "If I haven't told you I really enjoy working here at the Volunteer mailroom. I don't know of any other place where I would have been given the opportunity to learn so much in such a short period of time, and I just want you to know that I really appreciate the opportunity and I'm hoping that I will be able to stay on here for a little while longer if not permanently. Thank you so much, I really appreciate you." "Many thanks for having completed the "360 Degrees" principle-centered leadership assessment about me. I am honored to be on the same team as a leader like you: customer-delight focused, effective, efficient, creative, & smart. With admiration, Alice." "Thank you again for the tour & all the informaiton. You do a 'Wonderful' job....Again, I really appreciate your efforts." "The students and staff of Rosedale School would like to thank you for being part of their summer school program. Your participation in the student's off-campus programming has allowed the students to be part of their community in a meaningful way. It has given them a chance to interact with people outside of their very structured everyday environment and gain new experiences. Thank you again for all that you do to contribute to the lives of students at Rosedale School." "Throughout this process [Continuous Quality Institute proposal], every member of Volunteer Services that we have come in contact with has been incredibly helpful. The patience and enthusiasm displayed by your staff, in answering the many questions of our many team members, is admirable. Being involved with the Volunteer Mailroom through this project has given us all insight into the incredible service that you offer here at TDH. The knowledge we have gained about your program will enable us to all be "personal advocates" in our program areas for utilizing the volunteer mailroom in future projects." "Thank YOU, Michelle, for cultivating excellent donor relationships (the 'getting' & the 'thanking' cycle)." "Thanks for the COOL beach umbrella, beach chairs, and decorations galore! The 400 Round Rock donuts were a HUGE hit! Thanks for picking up the McD stuff for the orange drink. Thanks for sharing food with the off-site schools who work with the VM." "Many thanks for all of YOUR good work in cultivating sincere, on-going relationships with our generous donors. I admire how well you all demonstrate 'abundance' for & through our volunteer-partners." "Thanks for making the Beach Party a HUGE success. I LOVED it!!!!!!!! You are so good with all your wonderful volunteers." "Many thanks for the countless, creative & dependable ways you always contribute to the successes of our Volunteer Recognition Events. I am so proud to be on the team with you." "I share your classy-looking brochure, loaded with lots of great information...at any excuse. Thanks for ALL the ways you create abundance for volunteer-partners." "Congratulations to Volunteer Mailroom Coordinator Michelle Reeves. Austin's Rosedale special education school honored her with its Job Site Supervisor of the Year award, and the volunteers from Hays High School in San Marcos gave her a huge stuffed animal wearing the school sweater." "You always do such good work. You realize that I'm busily stealing ideas from YOU!" "Wonderful news that your glowing quotes (about our Rosedale School Vice Principal-VMR partner) appeared in the latest Adopt-a-School newsletter. What a great partner YOU are to take the time to tell the good news about Steve!!! --that's what I call 'creating abundance' for our volunteer partners. You continue to amaze me, Michelle. You are terrific." "If you put all your quotes & VMR kudos on the VMR wall, you're doing to have to expance!!! <smile> And 400 donuts! COOL, kiddo." "Please take a look at TDH's 'Lab News,' May/June 1997. Michelle Reeves & the Volunteer Mailroom are thanked (p. 5) for their assistance in shrink-wrapping & mailing the revised Manual of Reference Services. Way to go, Michelle, Dawn & volunteers!" "You Guys are Great!!! We really appreciate your group's hard work. Your help has been tremendous. Once again, thanks for your help." "Way to go, Michelle!" "I want to pass along my commendations for one of your staff. Michelle Reeves is doing a tremendous job pairing up mentors to proteges over at the volunteer mailroom. Many of the mentors I have found for Michelle are proteges in the employee mentor program. I have already spoken to a few of them all of whom expressed delight and anticipation for getting the chance to mentor. Michelle has helped this all come about!" "Fantastic, Michelle! I'm pleased with all the positive things going on among our team & the Public Health Promotion team members (including their adopting the VMR as their CQI project)." "Thanks so much for the beautiful violet. You have done such a wonderful job at TDH. Thanks again for all you do for the Rosedale students." "Again, thanks for the wonderful idea of picnic table for your customers. I am delighted with how well you serve your volunteers, job coaches, the schools, & all your TDH/other-agency customers." "I think who you are, what you do & how you do it are 'the cat's meow.'--now that has to be the ultimate compiment from someone with 8 indoor cats!" "Emily Sonsel, TDH Labs, made a special effort to let me know how much y'all helped with a recent job you did for them (shrink-wrapping training manual, I think) & how much she enjoys working with you." "Thanks, Michelle, for being part of Craig's Mentor Program donation system." "Wow, I'm impressed that you have programs lining up for your bulk-mail training. (Shoot, I'm impressed that you know how to do bulk-mail--much less train others! Very complicated, as far as I'm concerned.)" "Thanks, again, for all the great partnerships you initiate for all of us." "Great, Michelle. I'm sure you've already done your fast-turn-around thank-you note." "Thanks, Michelle, for your thorough information about our benefits as an affiliate member of the local Volunteer Center- A Service of the United Way. And thanks again for having cultivated the worthwhile partnership with them in the first place." "I just finished speaking with your mentor Alisin Vines and she told me how thrilled she is to have you as her protege. As usual, you are impressing people all around you." Proud of you!" "Congratulations, Michelle, on your well-deserved recognition!" "I'm gratified to see how good you are at 'partnerships' with Rosedale & others." "Many thanks for your folder filled with VMR info & forms for the Dana Center. Exactly what they want." "Neat! Well done, Michelle." "And you have soooo much good, 'stealable' stuff." "Sure! I like to be able to give YOU the kind of good, fast service you always give to all of us (team members & volunteers alike)." "Thanks a MILLION. I was under the erroneous impression that I couldn't forward my pmails at all. Thankyouthankyouthankyou." "Plus, I'm so PROUD of all the wonderful work you do...the CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) team's report on 11-13-97 will showcase the VMR to TDH senior management & hundreds of other TDHers." "Thanks so much for attending yesterday's brainstorming meeting about the TDH-TJPC proposed partnership. I will continue to consult with you on this, given your experience of working with these kids (on a much higher level --- I wish you had shared that!) as volunteers in the mailroom. Thanks for being supportive of this project and for being a great co-worker!" "You constantly amaze me with your speed and dependability. Keep on trucking!" "You deserve it...& more!!!" "You are such a people person I'd imagine that job is really good for you." "Michelle Reeves has sent me a big box of those expandable folders --thanks Michelle!" "We wish to thank you for all your kindness and help during this school year. We couldn't have had a successful year without you. Thanks for putting up with our mistakes and willing to work around them. Thanks again for everything you have done to help us with our education." "We wish to express our thanks for your interest in the students of AISD, as shown by your willingness to participate in our Adopt-A-School program with Travis High School. As an adopter, you join more than 1500 businesses and organizations in providing support and expertise to some 125 schools and special programs in the Austin Independent School District." "Thanks, Michelle. Great contact suggestion!" "Thanks to Michelle Reeves and the Volunteer Mailroom for its assistance in shrink-wrapping and mailing the revised Manual of Reference Services." Congratulations and thank you for your contribution to our Division's mission." "Michelle, thank you for getting these goodies." "Many thanks for having made time for me yesterday to discus the Hallmark Card Project (sending all new parents a 'congratulations'/immunization-message card) & Michelle Reeves' well-organized info. about time, people & financial costs. Thanks, also, for offering to meet with Betty Jones (TDH Automation) to discuss some of the nit-picky electronic & other 'what-ifs' (that you & I had brainstormed...& any other 'what-ifs' you & Betty come up with)." "Wow, a choice. You're so great to share. You must have been a top kid." "Thank you for your positive attitude and enthusiasm! We enjoyed working in the mailroom this summer. And we're looking forward to the Fall. You're the greatest!" "I really appreciate all of your hard work for the Rosedale students and staff this year. Congratulations on your award for the Best Site Supervisor of the year!" "Thankyouthankyouthankyou. "Many thanks for the TDH Audiovisual Library media catalog for our TVHC library." "I've noticed when you send me reports, my only role is to read them & give you a standing ovation! I'm ready to stand & cheer." "I wanted to thank you for the wonderful reception you put together. I really had a great time. I'm sure the volunteers were touched by the appreciation they were shown by this. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!" "You're ahead of me...again. Thanks!" Thank you for your dedication to volunteerism." "Your Hallmark Cards Report looks excellent. Thanks for all your research for the details & for organizing all the facts & figures in an understandable way." "How thoughtful, Michelle. (I think Panfilo is in awe of your great work: you're so well-organized AND you are infinitely kind to the volunteers with disabilities.)" "Thank you all for your assistance. We really appreciate your efforts in helping us to assemble and distribute this large mailout. Without you I would just have to give up." "You're invited to view the inspirational photo albums & the new photos in our photo screens in M-649. The photo albums include Volunteer Mailrom photos & photos of our Volunteer Recognition Events. Thanks, Michelle, for the neat photo albums." "You are remarkable!" "Keep up the great work!" "Thanks, Michelle! You are with it (as usual)." "THEY obviously think you hung them moon & consider you part of their team, too." "Thanks, again. (I get so MANY wonderful compliments on you. A recent one was from Dennis who works in the warehouse. When Beverly, Panfilo & I made a road trip to the TDH Warehouse, you'd have thought that you & Dennis are twins...as highly as he mentioned your name.) Neat!" "Got the copy. Very impressive! Thanks girls!" (Tool Chest Resource List) "Wow that's great. She's obviously well organized." "Thanks for continuing to remind us about attending Lewis Timberlake's presentation. I'm glad I did!" "Thanks again, Michelle, for your really, really important help with getting the Pulse Monitor out --check the bottom of page 14. We remembered this month!" "By the way, I love the bulletin board you made --quite clever, and very appealing with the photos of your folks." "Michelle, thanks for sending me stuff about how other agencies recognize volunteers --I have it all in a file and we will 'borrow' the best as we put our own process in place." "Please drop by M649 sometime this month to admire our April/Texas Volunteer Health Corps bulletin board. (Thanks, Michelle!)" "Oh, Michelle! I just got my first look at your bulletin board. It is outstanding! I love it. Thank you for this nice gift to our program." "Your bulletin board is a marvel!!! Thanks. Kool!" "Panfilo said the nicest thing about you after the tour: 'Michelle sure deserves her job upgrade.' Obviously, he was VERY impressed. So am I & everyone else at TDH. I constantly overhear positive remarks about how customer friendly you are. I feel honored to be on the same team as you." "Thank you for your kind donation of $10.00 for our 'Rosedale Ride' fundraiser. You already do so much for our students and words cannot express our appreciation. Michelle, you are such an enthusiastic and compassionate advocate for our dear students - we feel so fortunate and grateful to have you working with our kids. It is kind people like yourself who makes the world a better place for our students." "Michelle, Panfilo told me how impressive your tour was. Thanks!" "Excellent ideas! Would you please bring up your ideas at our next TVHC staff meeting? I'd like your good ideas to be shared...& maybe others will think of additional things/ways to 'run' with your ideas." "Your dedication and committment to the volunteers who will be there this afternoon, is really admirable! I'm glad that Heidee has you to work with. You are a great role model for her and every volunteer who works there."| "I do appreciate all the work you all do for our section and me." "Thanks for your drafts...that made my letter-writing a lot easier." "Excellent pmail message. The attachment/wording looks good to me. Thanks." "Many thanks for offering to add to our TVHC Staff Meeting Agenda form...benchmarks-related ground rules." "It looks nice!!! I think you are doing a wonderful job over there!! Keep up the good work!!!!" "Michelle, Excellent info. Thanks for forwarding it." "Thanks for the opportunity to contribute to our volunteers (& thanks for your thorough message)." "You get The Best Scrounger Award, hands down! Thanks for getting all the great stuff." "Great job on acquiring a refrigerator for the Texas Volunteer Health Corps. Obviously our 'eyes were bigger than our plans.' Thank ou for getting the refrigerator to us -- & now moving it back into your Volunteer Mailroom." "While Heidee was at my office, she mentioned you and I just wanted to tell you what she said...She mentioned how nice, considerate and caring you are to her and the others around her. She said how you really make her feel good and she feels like you trust her. All in al she had nothing negative to say about you...I had to agree with her. You are really doing a great job, just ask Heidee!" "We all miss you when you can't join us, but we understand. (Thanks for always 'joining us' with your generous donation of food &/or drinks.)" "Excellent. She deserves it." (job reclassification to a higher level) "Michelle! CONGRATULATIONS!! I was going out the door yesterday when I heard the word that you got an upgrade. I am so happy for you...Thanks for the nomination form you sent me--I wlil be keeping all that assorted stuff you are compiling for me. Thanks, Michelle, and congratulations again!" "Thanks, Michelle, for your following up on the abyss I experienced yesterday morning." "While Michelle was out smoozing (you know she's scouting brochures, etc. from the programs for the reprinting of the tool chest), she discussed it with Veronica Primeaux, graphic designer, Immunization, who was excited about it and offered to help." (for a needed page layout person) "Thanks, again, for your quick follow-up with our potential shrink-wrap customer." "THANKS for volunteering to be our scribe. Thanks for making the updates for our next TVHC staff meeting." "I just wanted to say a big 'Thank you' for taking the time to meet with me on 3/7/97. I really enjoyed our talk, getting all that literature on the mailroom, and for those numbers to call for future reference. I admire what you have done--you are so organized!" "Nice looking 'spring break' informational sign on your north door." "Thanks for your thoroughness (signs, voice-msg.) in taking off for spring break. (Nice looking sign on outside door; also, very thoughtful and helpful.)" "Thanks! Fast!" "Lynn, Jimmy Helm, & our Commissioner got to read all about the wonders of the Volunteer Mailroom & the TVHC." "Thanks, Michelle, not only for an excellent report but for keeping me apprised." "Thanks. Tom M. gave a glowing report about your activities at today's Division meeting." "You are doing a super job!" "The most recent person to wax eloquent about how wonderfully well organized, customer-friendly & caring you are...is Lois Johnson. She stopped me in the hallway to brag & brag & brag about you. Well done, Michelle. Thanks for the man wonderful things you, also, do that I don't hear about." "You are a super big deal to me (& to all of us): customer friendly, smart, visionary, well-organized...I could go on & on..." "Also, if you have time to drop by the Volunteer Mailroom (next to the TDH Film Library) in the TDH Warehouse area, please do. It looks better than ever (& Michelle already had it looking very good)." "Thanks for your hard work and for wanting this job." (Pulse Monitor: a project) "I agree with everything Alice heard about you from Rosedale School. You are something special!" "I received the most lovely phone call about you this morning from one of your Rosedale School customers Linda Ulrich. She went into great detail about what a wonderful woman you are, how much rapport you have with Rosedale students, what an asset you are to TDH, how gracious & polite & gentle & kind you are to the students with disabilities & with your TYC volunteers--that you even offered to help Rosedale School with some computer expertise you have...how well you've organized the Volunteer Mailroom (including 1st aid supplies, systematic procedures, etc.)...you 'have it so together..and are doing so much' and how blessed she feels to have gotten acquainted with you. Wow! I was glowing and agreeing. Good for you, Michelle." "Many thanks for your Jan. report. I am always pleased with the variety of customers, projects & #s you provide (in the report--reflecting a lot of great services for a bunch of people). I like how you pmail attached it to me (I've stored it in my Volunteer Mailroom computer file), so please continue with the electronic reports." "Thank you so much for your excellent work on our mail projects! Your help is a really important part of our agency! We are proud of the personal touch, time and effort that you put into your work. We look forward to working with you again. Thank you." "On behalf of the Council, I would like to say 'thanks' to you and everyone at the volunteer mailroom for a job well done. I appreciate that your approach to helping us was flexible and that you offered to do whatever it took to get the job done. In the future, we will make every effort to provide you with more lead time." "You are a real plus to have around this program." "Thank YOU for your quick input & for having acquired all of the wonderful calendars for us. You're quite the marketing strategist!!! Alana thinks you hung the moon...hey, so do I (so do your volunteers)." "I really appreciate how helpful you've been to Emily Palmer and Pulse Monitor readers by helping us get the magazine to employees quickly. Thank you for agreeing to take on the big job of getting it mailed out within a couple of days of its being printed. You and your volunteers are a real lifesaver for us. You surely know the value of Great Servcie. We'll let our readers know, too, that the Volunteer Mailroom is doing the work. Thanks again." "Thanks for the positive words about Michelle. She's a treasure for our division-team." "Alice, it really is nice to workw ith someone as positive and willing to help as Michelle. Emily just raved about how thrilled Michelle was to get to mail the Pulse Monitor." "Great marketing strategy. I'm glad you've asked Emily to consider it." "Yes! What a wonderful, additional project. Congratulations on your expanding business & services." "Thank you so much for your patience, flexibility, and service you provide. This is my first project here and I am learning so much from every hitch. It only takes me one time to learn what not to do! I am aware that this job has changed since we spoke originally and I am, again, grateful for your understanding." "Wow! Thanks, Michelle. You & Craig continue to amaze me." "By the way, I may coordinate the program but you make it enjoyable...thanks!" "Congratulations, Michelle & Craig, for the instant successes with the Mentor/TVHC system." "Wow, Michelle, you got a LOT of mileage out of the calendars. Thanks, again." "And a BIG thank you for scouting out this gold mine and organizing the give-away." "I just wanted to thank both of you for your support & assistance as we set up the mentor program for volunteers. We're just getting going!!!" "Thanks so much for your assistance in providing the volunteers w/ disabilities information!" "Great work, Michelle, already getting donated calendars for '98!!" "Thanks a bunch...You and your group really do a wonderful job with every project and saves me TONS of time!!!" "What a savvy marketer & networker you are: you got $30+K worth of calendars donated to the TDH Volunteer Mailroom & thereby provided great thank-you items for volunteers, for customers & for colleagues...& you provided an irresistable way to get folks to 'discover' the TDH Volunteer Mailroom (by inviting them to come over to pick up their calendars). Congratulations on your 'grand slam homerun!'" "You are doing a whale of a job. (not a killer what either) I have spoken to Alice White about you and she things that you are great, as I do!" "You're great. Lots of people are stopping me in the halls to praise you. I'm proud of & for you." "Great work. Thanks!" "I never got an opportunity to thank you for the incredible, creative Christmas card you gave me. Thank you. Take care and you are doing a really good job out there." "Thank you for your help & thank you, too, for the cost/savings chart." "Thank you for being a great boss. You have taught me a lot." "Thanks! (I admire how thorough you always are.)" "Thanks. At today's Division meeting, I mentioned your full-page coverage in the 'Lab News' winter edition. Good for YOU!!! I've put 'your' Lab News newsletter on our guest table in M649." "Thanks. I appreciate how much initiative you take to bring in business." "Thanks, Craig. I agree: Michelle is FANTASTIC!" "Alice, I want you to know what an outstanding job Michelle Reeves is doing as we set up the mentor program for the volunteers in the mailroom. Her input, intelligence and enthusiasm are valuable aids as we create this new venture. My association with her has been nothing but positive. I wanted you to know. Thanks." "I just got in this morning but I wanted to contact you a.s.a.p! I went over those evaluation forms last night and they were great! You and I seem to be on the same page in many ways. Once again you have done a great job...keep up the good work!" "Great news, Michelle. Thank YOU for caring so much about your volunteers." "Thanks for all your hard work @ the mailroom! Without you & your caring organized ways we'd be lost!" "Thank you for making the Volunteer Mailroom such a great place to work." "Knowing you I'm sure that there is a heart warming story behind the school. I am constantly amazed and impressed with your level of committment to helping people." "Saw you recognized on the TDH blue screen. Congratulations. You're fantastic!" "Special thanks for lots-o-jugs go to Michele Reeves in the voluntere mailroom." (luminarias for the Brentwood Neighborhood Association) "Thanks for all the good work you & Craig are doing to get mentors for your volunteers." "Thank you for all that you are doing to get that stuff to me. Working with you is a real priviledge for me." "I am really impressed with the job you are doing with this mentor program for volunteers. I know this program is going to work wonders! Thanks." "Thank YOU, Michelle, for being such a thoughtful, wonderful leader & partner for the Rosedale student-volunteers & the whole school." "Thanks Michelle for bringing Round Rock Donuts!" "Michelle, congratulations on completing another job well done! I really appreciate you and your staff for inserting the pages in the 'Tips for Pregnant Teens' books as well as the teen instructor mail out. We are getting orders like crazy so the schools were pleased with the materials." "Congratulations!!! That's fantastic. You're wonderful, Michelle!" "Thank you again for all your valuable assistance." "Wow! Thanks. Lynn, Please see Michelle's great figures, below!" "And thankyou Michelle for all your hard work to help make this happen!" "Everything about the recognition event was great. Thanks for doing a great job...and congratulations on your special recognition from Rosedale." "You went way beyond the call of duty for our event. Thanks!" "Thank you for your leadership & organization that ensured another successful Volunteer Recognition event. I was so proud when your Rosedale friends singled you out for the well-deserved award. You're terrific." "I realize that this is a Recognition or Appreciation Party for the volunteers who have volunteered to give their time to the efforts of the Texas Department of Health, but Rosedale School would like to take this time to recognize someone else who is of a very giving nature. This person has volunteered to give much more to her work than anyone would ever ask her to give. She is the person who has been organizing all of the volunteer programs and all of the tens of thousands of pieces of mail that have gone through the Volunteer Mailroom the last 7 months. Without her extra effort, we feel that the students of our program would surely suffer. That person is Michelle Reeves and we would like to formally recognize her today with this plaque." "Thank you and your staff for your patience and tenacity in completing this huge job. I really appreciate it. We could never have gotten these out so effeciently without your help. THANK YOU!" "I want to say how much I appreciate Michelle and the Volunteer Mailroom services. Michelle is doing a super job and is always trying to promote the program. When we have needed their services, she has always handled our needs expeditiously and courteously. They have a trying time handling the students sometimes. I really admire her skill and abilities in this regard. I hope the incident this morning does not reflect badly on Michelle. She does an excellent job. The student was simply out of control and the staff were doing all they could to calm her. I was just having a bad morning and my patience was a bit threadbare. Again, thanks for all you and your staff are doing." "Michelle, You are the ideal person to manage the TDH Volunteer Mailroom. I always get re-inspired whenever I visit you, your volunteers & job coaches. All of your customer-satisfaction, project-coordination, services offered & evaluation pieces are classy, useful & creative. Thank YOU for your great work for TDH, its customers & your great volunteers." "Thanks for ALL your help with the vol. recog. event. I love it that you've recruited a vol. to be the go-fer. Neat." "You do great work for TDH through all the volunteers, schools, teachers, & job coaches!" "Thanks, Michelle, for your prompt response." "Yahoo! Congratulations, Michelle." (donation of orange drink from McDonald's for a Volunteer Recognition event) "Please thank your staff for the wonderful job they are doing. You really do provide an invaluable service to our program." "Michelle is very gentle, compassionate and patient with everyone she comes into contact with. She is very intuitive in her problem solving for students with behavior challenges and has been very determined in the resolution of those problems. She is eager to learn as much as possible about adolescence and young adults with disabilities and has shown her enthusiasm by actively seeking out training from Austin I.S.D. I would trust her with my own child. It is clear to me that Ms. Reeves thinks of her work with young adults with special needs as being something much more than just a job. She has volunteered to give that extra effort to make as much of her position as she can. It is my opinion that Ms. Reeves will be an asset to any program or organization that is fortunate enough to be able to count her among their associates." (personal reference for volunteer position with Texas Youth Commission) "Michelle is excellent at providing support, encouragement, and direction for the youth volunteers that she coordinates. She is always promoting growth and development with the children she works with. She would be a splendid volunteer for TYC. Michelle is a well organized and caring person who has a strong dedication to her committments and responsibilities. She is an excellent role model for children and fellow volunteers." (personal reference for volunteer position with Texas Youth Commission) "Tom, I just wanted to let you know that everything in the volunteer mailroom is going great. We did a good job at picking out my volunteer position." "Good show, Michelle! Great for higher visibility and recognition of the mailroom and your volunteers." "Watch for the newest 'Pulse Monitor:' a photo & article by Emily about Michelle is on pp. 12-13. Thanks, Emily, for the coverage. Thanks, Michelle, for all the good work." "As you'd requested, Panfilo shared the file folders of info with reports evaluating work of Vol. Mailroom: fantastic results. Congratulations. You & your team deserve to be proud. I'm so pleased with the results & with your system of evaluation & reporting...that I'm going to show the folders & brag about y'all to Lynn when I meet with her on Fri." "I as a representative of Texas Health Steps (EPSDT) would like to thank you and the volunteers for your assistance with the mailout to the optometry associations. We appreciate your help more than words can express. It was a great pleasure working with you. Thanks again." "Breastfeeding Promotion, Bureau of Nutrition Services, has prevaild upon TDH Volunteer Services for a large project this year that I would like to commend them on for the great job they have done. TDH printed 45,000 sets of breastfeeding bookmarks for pregnant and breastfeeding teen moms which had to be collated into sets of 11 different book marks and banded together. This was a tremendous, time consurming job and they have completed it with conscientious, consisten and cheerful efforst. Their assistance has helped us tremendously, because we have been filling orders for these over the summer and there is no way we could have met the order requests, had we been forced to provide manpower to collate these sets ourselves. Their contribution is greatly appreciated. We have a teen booklet that will be sent to them [pregnant teens] Sept. 30 with inserts. Volunteer Services will be including these insert sheets for us prior to the mailout as well as assembling the other enclosures and putting them in mail folders. I am very relieved to know that I can count on this group of responsible individuals to handle the inserts and that I can count on them to ensure getting these packets mailed. Great work, guys! Thanks!" "Thank you, Michelle, for your diligence and tenacity in the preparation, packing, and mailing of the health tool chests to the NSSC conference in Washington, D.C. and your continued dedication to detail in the additional mailings you have done for the projects with which I am involved. You have been a tremendous help to me in meeting my deadlines, and I think we are most fortunate to have you in Health Promotion and Volunteer Services. Not only do you get the work done, but your leasership and rapport with the volunteers is exemplary." "Thanks for the opportunity that you gave me to get to konw you. It has been really nice and fun meeting you. And thanks for the opportunity that you gave me to work at the Health Department of texas and for teaching me things that I didn't know but now I know them. It has been a nice and fun experience working and helping you." "Thank you for being such a wonderful advocate for our students. I believe that the truest measure of a person's character is how much they are willing to give of themselves to benefit those that are the weakest and least influential people of a society. Your act yesterday surely earned you a lot of points!" "Michelle Reeves is being nominated for Special Recognition for working so hard to make sure the Rosedale students always have plenty of work at TDH and for organizing the mailroom and entire program in such a way to relieve Don & Dana of a lot of that responsibility. YOU ARE GREAT, MICHELLE!" "I wanted to tell you I loved working at the mailroom and it was a great learning experience. Thanks for making everything so easy and pleasant for me. You're the greatest."
